527,823. Mounting motors. DAIMLER-BENZ AKT.-GES. April 21, 1939, No. 12012. Convention date, April 22, 1938. [Class 79 (iii)] In a vehicle with a driving unit comprising an engine 3 and a gear-box 4 bolted thereto, the housing of the unit is provided at or adjacent to the joint l between the engine and gear-box with a recess 7 for the passage of a transverse frame member 2 permanently united with the frame longitudinals 1. In the construction shown the gear-box is formed with a downwardly opening gap or recess 7 for the reception of the frame tube 2, the opening being afterwards closed by a bridge piece 8 secured by bolts 9. The engine is mounted on the frame by means of lugs 5. The bridge piece 8 may be integral with the engine if the recess 7 is in the gear-box, and vice versa.
