527,468. Helical and like springs. MORRIS MOTORS, Ltd., and ISSIGONIS, A. A. April 13, 1939, No. 11183. [Class 108 (iii)] One or both ends of a helical or volute spring, particularly as employed between the axle and chassis or body of a motor vehicle, bears upon a seating which comprises a rubber or like disc d of a diameter substantially equal to that of the spring a and an intermediate metal disc e which is provided at its centre with a hollow boss g to prevent lateral displacement of the spring. The rubber disc d is formed with a corresponding boss h and also with annular or other depressions j that facilitate radial spreading of the rubber. Positioning of the spring on the disc e may be further secured by attaching to the latter a flanged ring f.
