Abstract

527,044. Air raid shelter. BOOTH & SONS (BOLTON), Ltd., J., and MORRIS, J. H. March 29, 1939, No. 9872. [Class 20 (i)] A collapsable hut or shelter comprises spaced end frame members 1 of inverted U-shape and of T-section metal, and a flexible covering disposed between the end members formed of interlocking metal slats. The end frame members are filled with interlocking slats of metal 5 by welding them at their edges to the flanges of the frame members and a door may be provided at one end. Some of the slats 6 in the end without the door may be removably secured to the frame member to provide an emergency exit in the event of the door becoming blocked. The end frames are connected by longitudinals 21, 22.
