526,460. Propelling aircraft. BUGATTI, E. March 16, 1939, No. 8494. Convention date March 19, 1938. [Class 4] An aircraft has two co-axial airs crews 4, 5, rotated in opposite directions each by its own engine 12, 13. The engines being arranged one behind the other in the fuselage and driving the propellers through intermediate shafting including at least one bend provided with a suitable coupling. As shown, the engines may be arranged behind the cockpit and the transmission shafts 14, 15 may pass on either side of the pilot's seat, e.g. beneath his elbows.
