[Class 7 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] Two 6-cylinder 4-stroke-cycle single-acting internal-combustion engines are connected through clutches, reversing-geltrs and flexible couplings to a gear box, from which a drive is taken. The clutches and reversing-gears may be practically rigid with the appropriate gears at the gear box, in which case the flexible couplings are placed between the masses and the prune movers. The Specification contains an analysis concerning the torsional oscillation of the system. Specification 168,979, [Class 114], is referred to.
