Abstract
524,911. Driving aircraft propellers. ALMONACID, V. A. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4471. Addition to 485,053. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 11, 1939.] [Class 4] Mechanism for transmitting motion from driving to driven shafts as described in the parent Specification is applied to cases in which the driving shafts are not all in one plane. Each shaft may be provided with more than two cranks. Fig. 3 shows four propeller shafts driven from a motor shaft a in a different plane through intermediate cranked shafts a1 ... a4 connected by tension elements. Guiding crank shafts i are provided for the connecting wires.
