Abstract

523,668. Cylinders. ROVER CO., Ltd., and SWAINE, J. Jan. 10, 1939, No. 767. [Class 7 (ii)] A combustion chamber is bounded by a partspherical wall 6 containing a valve 9 and a flat face 7 of a detachable cylinder head containing the sparking-plug 8 and another valve 16. The piston has a V-shaped face 2, 5, the wall 6 being part-cylindrical adjacent the face 5. The valves 9, 16, which preferably function for exhaust and inlet respectively, are operated from a camshaft 13 and rockers 12, directly and through a push rod 14.
