Abstract
522,682. Cylinders. AUTO UNION AKT.- GES. Dec. 12, 1938, No. 36234. Convention date, Dec. 10, 1937. [Class 7 (ii)] In a two-stroke engine cylinder having opposed piston-controlled ports, the admission ports 4, 5 comprise two symmetrically-arranged pairs fed by transfer passages 13 which extend substantially vertically to the ports 4 and then branch horizontally to the ports 5. The upper walls of the passages 13, which are S-shape, are formed by insert members 7. The exhaust passages 15 lead to a common exhaust pipe.
