[Class 40 (iii)] The known band-pass filter of Fig. 2 is modified by replacing condenser 2C1 and the terminating image impedance R by a shunt condenser 2C1, Fig. 1, and resistance R1. The condenser 2C1, Fig. 1, may be constituted by the inherent electrode capacity of valves 10, 12. The Specification gives design formulae for the filter of Fig. 1 and representative circuit valves:
