F22B25/00—Water-tube boilers built-up from sets of water tubes with internally-arranged flue tubes, or fire tubes, extending through the water tubes
Abstract
519,074. Water-tube steam boilers. FERRARI, E. Sept. 14, 1938, No. 26767. Convention date, Sept. 14, 1937. [Class 123 (ii)] A water tube steam boiler having vertical or nearly vertical water tubes 6 is heated by flue gases passing over the outside of the tubes 6 and through inner concentric tubes 11 in a direction opposed to the flow of water in the annular spaces. Water from a drum 1 in which is baffle plate 2 having passages 3 for the circulation of the water, feeds lower headers 5 through tubes 4 and circulates through tubes 6 and upper headers 7 to return to the cylinder 1. The headers 5 close the furnace flues 12 so that 'the gases are constrained to flow through the tubes 11. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 18828/07 [Class 123].
