Abstract
516,066. Impact pulverizers. SKODA WORKS, PLZEN, and TSCHAUNER, L. June 18, 1938, No. 18181. [Class 59] In a hammer-crusher having a feed grate 1, a discharge grate 5 and an intermediate grate 6, the intermediate grate is arranged below the shaft 2 of the hammers and is adapted to catch and support any coarse pieces falling from the feed grate and prevent such pieces from dropping on to the discharge grate until they have been subjected to the further crushing operation. As shown hammer heads 4 are pivoted to arms 3 attached to a shaft 2 and rotate through the grating 1 at the bottom of the feed hopper. The intermediate grating 6 of prong-like form is interposed between the grate 1 and the discharge grate 5 whereby material broken on the grate 1 is further disintegrated on the prongs 7 before the final disintegration on the discharge grate 5.
