[Class 82 (ii)] [Also in Group V] Spherical slag particles for use as aggregate in making mortars and cements, are formed by casting molten slag in water-cooled moulds or by pouring molten .slag into a rapidly-rotating water-cooled drum or wheel so as to break up the slag into fine particles which become solidified before settling.
