Abstract
515,480. Two-part couplings. BELLING & LEE, Ltd., and HASLAM, A. G. May 30, 1938, No. 16022. [Class 38 (i)] A plug contact 1 is formed with a screwthreaded extension 3 on to which screws a U-shaped member 6 attached to a nut 5 so as to grip a lead passed through the space 4 in the member 6. The connection is enclosed in a cover 7 of insulating material having a hole 8 through which the extension 3 passes so that the cover is retained between a shoulder 2 and the nut 5. The part 9 of the cover 7 is shaped to fit'the nut 5 so that the latter can be held against rotation while the parts 3, 5 are screwed together, after which the cover 7 has some freedom for movement between the shoulder 2 and nut 5. The plug 1 may be resilient and the shoulder 2 may be formed by outwardly bulging the two prongs of the pin.
