Abstract

514,332. Wireless receiving-apparatus; spring catches. PHILCO RADIO & TELEVISION CORPORATION. May 3, 1938, No. 13156. Convention date, May 25, 1937. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXV] A device for supporting a component such as a tuning coil from the chassis 1 of a radio receiver comprises a resilient metal clip 5 the ends of which spring into slots 3 provided on the mandrel 2 of the coil. The clip is pushed over a metal tongue 9 offset from the panel 1. the bowed portion 4 engaging a slot 10 cut in the tongue. A detent 11 prevents the clip from accidental detachment from the tongue. In a modification the tongue 9 has a circular recess punched downwardly to provide a projection over which the coil mandrel fits, the bowed portion 4 of the clip engaging the recess in the top of the tongue.
