Abstract

513,287. Sleeve couplings. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd., BARNARD, R. M., KRAM, W., and JARVIS, F. L. J. April 6, 1938, No. 10564. [Class 38 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVII] In an inlet for connecting coaxial cables to an electric switch an extension 9 of one of the contacts passes out through an insulated bushing 10 for connection to the inner conductor 16 of a coaxial cable 18. Another contact 46 is connected to an outer conductor 3<1> which is oppositely slotted as at 13 to allow it to be engaged with the outer conductor of cable 18 by means of a clamp 17. A conducting sleeve 15 is slipped over member 3' to cover an aperture which is made to enable inspection of the joint.
