Abstract
510,580. Pneumatic conveyers; spreading material. HANNOVERSCHE MASCHINENBAU AKT.-GES. VORM. G. EGESTORFF (HANOMAG). Oct. 27, 1938, No. 31050. Convention date, Jan. 8. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv)] A bunker for the storage of dust for dustfuelled engines is provided with means for blowing air in horizontal direction over the surface of the dust therein. The bunker S is filled through a shoot A and the dust forms a heap C. Compressed air is then admitted at U and transforms the heap C into a heap D. Dust subsequently delivered to the bunker will be caused by the air blast to fill it up to the line E. The air escapes through the extensions F and filters V into the conduit R which leads to the blower B. Worms G - - G<3> at the bottoms of the hoppers N - - N<3> transfer the dust to the conduit R through which it passes to the blower B and through the conduit L to the point of consumption. Each worker has a clutch controlled by a selenium cell which is arranged to come into operation when the hopper is empty.
