[Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] A portable engine-driven pump, generator, or other apparatus 11 which can be carried on a trailer or other road vehicle to a required position for fire-fighting, gas-decontamination, street-scavenging &c. purposes, or for generating current for a searchlight &c. is mounted on a framework 12 providing a handle at one end and carrying, towards the other end, a pair of supporting wheels 15 having relatively small, large-section, rubber tyres 19 for wheeling the apparatus wheelbarrow-fashion on the ground. As shown, the framework is adapted to slide between guides 13, 13a'on the chassis-frame of a two-wheel trailer, the chassis preferably including longitudinals cross-braced at the rear ends by a tray 14. The framework is secured on the trailer between a stop 16 and a catch 17. To facilitate loading and unloading the trailer may be fitted with an inclined ramp at the rear. To enable the apparatus to be removed from the trailer by one person, the guide parts 13a, which normally act as stops for the wheels 15, are omitted so that the apparatus can be drawn backwardly until the wheels 15 leave the trailer, inclined framemembers 12a supporting the apparatus until it reaches the ground.
