Abstract

491,789. Hand trucks. TUMTLTY, H. G. March 3, 1937, No. 6317. [Class 108 (i)] A lifting truck for transporting a battery from an electrically-driven vehicle to a changing device, and vice versa, more particularly a battery adapted to be supported on the vehicle by runners as described in Specification 491,788, [Group XXXII], comprises a platform 3 supported on a wheeled base 1 by means equipped with a combined handle and lifting lever which on being raised first raises and then lowers the platform, moving it slightly forward, and on being depressed first raises and then again lowers the platform, moving it slightly rearwards, the platform engaging the base when the handle is in its extreme positions. As shown the platform is supported by links 4 one pair of which is connected by links 5 to interconnected levers 6 forming the handle.
