[Class 141] In a corset, girdle, &c. having sections adapted to be secured together by lacing, an eyelet panel projects from the inner face of each section at the edge thereof so as to lie substantially below the surface of the section. In the form shown, the edge of the section 10 is reinforced by a stiffening member 14, and the eye lets 13 for the lacing 12 are secured to a section 17 preferably of inelastic material which is stitched to the inner face of the section 10 at 20 and 21 so that the lacing 12 lies substantially flush with the surface of the garment. The section 17 comprises four plies of material which are folded around a stiffening member 23, the plies being stitched together at 24. The member 23 extends from the upper edge of the garment to the groin in the case of a front-lace garment, and preferably throughout the length of the garment in the case of a back-lace garment. In a modification the section 17 is formed integrally with the section 10.
