508,718. Wick burners. EHRICH & GRAETZ AKT.-GES. Jan. 25, 1938, No. 2416. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1937. [Class 75 (i)] In a wick burner having a diffuser cap 19 with a wick stop flange 18, the wall of the cap below the wick stop is formed as a spider to prevent heat conduction downwards, the openings 20 in which are partly covered by a sleeve 15 on the contracted end of the inner wick tube 4, and yet allow the central air draught to reach the flame. The cap of Fig. 4 may also be used in the sleeve 15, air eddies, if formed in cylindrical part 23, not influencing the air passing through holes 19. An air deflecting flange 8 spaced from the wick tubes is connected by spaced limbs 9 or a perforated cone to a ring 10 on the basket 2.
