423,979. Liquid-fuel burners. SEMERIA, L., 31, Avenue Felix Faure, Paris. May 1, 1934, No. 13166. Convention date, May 2, 1933. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid fuel supplied through a pipe 6 to a vertical tube 5 is vaporized while flowing down a conical projection 4 which is formed with annular projections 4<1> and is covered by a cap 12. The vapour burns with air entering through holes 2 in a casing 1 integral with the projection 4, the flame impinging on a flange 12<1> on the cap 12 and issuing through a contracted opening 3 in the casing. The cap 12 is supported by a rod 7 which is screwed in the tube 5, and has an extension 11 projecting into the flame. The middle portion of the rod 7 is reduced in diameter and formed with ribs 9 which preheat the fuel in the tube 5. The slope of the conical projection 4 preferably decreases from the top to the base.
