Abstract
507,268. Hydraulic transmission of power. ROTADISK. APPARATEBAU GES. July 11, 1938, No. 20536. Convention date, July 10, 1937. [Class 69 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A brake master cylinder 1 for hydraulic brakes, more particularly for aircraft is pivotable as a lever about a pivot 23 and has a piston connected by a link- 25 to a fixed point 24 which effects movement of the piston during pivotal movement of the cylinder. The cylinder 1 is an auxiliary cylinder for operation of the brakes externally of the aircraft and is arranged in the pipe lines between the master cylinder in the interior of the aircraft and the brakes. A passage for normal operation of the brakes is formed through this cylinder and through valves 46, 461, Fig. 3, in the base 7 of the cylinder, which are held open in the inoperative position of the cylinder 1 by the engagement of the valve stems 42, 42<1> with adjustable stops 48. When the cylinder 1 is operated by means of a hand grip 2, the valves 46, 46<1> are allowed to close and valves 52, 52<1> are opened by a lever 29 to allow the cylinder 1 to force fluid to the brakes.
