[Class 37] A temperature - compensated condenser comprises a main set of plates 2 supported from an end plate 5, one compensating, element 2a mounted near the end plate and a coactng element 8 supported from the end of the main condenser farthest from the plate 5, on rods 7 of zero or nearly zero coefficient of expansion. In the case of a variable condenser, the element corresponding to 2a is mounted, with the movable plates of the main condenser, on a spindle.
