Abstract
504,950. Bakers' ovens. VICARS, Ltd., T. & T., and CROSLAND, E. M. Nov. 29, 1937, No. 32829. [Class 51 (ii)] A baker's oven has separate furnaces 10, 11 and separate circulatory systems for the heating gases flowing through flues 8, 9 disposed longitudinally of and above and below the oven chamber 1. Circulation is effected by fans 14, 15 at the ends of the flues 8, 9, and the return flues 12, 13 are in damper-controlled communication with an exhaust flue 16. Part of the returned gases may be passed under control of dampers 23, 24 to the furnaces, while the remainder byepasses the furnaces through the flues 19, 20. The flues 8, 9 may be longitudinally partitioned, each section being controlled by a damper 26, and each fan may comprise a number of impeller sections on a common shaft. The heatradiating walls of the flues may be formed with fins to increase their radiating surfaces.
