Abstract
503,722. Valve amplifying circuits. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. (Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges.) Aug. 5, 1938, No. 23206. [Class 40 (v)] In a negative feedback amplifier the feedback path includes a network comprising a negative resistance device and arranged to determine the phase rotation in the feedback path. Fig. 1 shows the equivalent of a negative inductance and comprises resistances R, condenser'C and a negative resistance -R which may be a dynatron, or a hot conductor such as uranium dioxide the properties of which are described in Specification 466,132. This negative inductance -L in the network LR1, Fig. 2, gives a frequency dependent but real resistance with zero phase-rotation.
