Abstract
344,444. Changing wave form. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. and SANDEMAN, E. K., Columbia House, Aldwych, London. Nov. 27, 1929, No. 36396. [Class 38 (ii).] In an arrangement for producing a square wave, sinusoidal current is fed from a transformer 1 through an amplifying valve 2 to a transformer 3, and neon lamps 4, 5, through which no current flows until the voltage reaches a predetermined value. When the voltage reaches a value such that current flows, the drop in potential across resistances 7, 8 prevents the voltage across the input of the transformer 6 from rising above a predetermined value. Condensers 9, 10 are adjusted to obtain the most suitable wave form.
