503,476. Cereal preparations. NAAM. LOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP INDUSTRIEELE MAATSCHAPPIJ VOORHEEN NOURY & VAN DER LANDE. Sept. 30, 1937, No. 26531. Convention date, Oct. I, 1936. [Clsss' 49] [Also in Group IV] , Stable mixtures suitable for admixture with flour, containing l-ascorbic . acid and related compounds such as sodium ascorbate and isoascorbate are made by incorporating the vitamin material with di- or tri-calcium phosphate, gypsum, prepared natural silica, talc; magnesium carbonate, potassium sulphate or wheat-, rice-, maize- or potato-starch. Other : additions such as malt-, wheat-, or bean-flour sugar or cooking-salt may be added. Examples describe mixtures with the stabilizing agents mentioned of ascorbic acid;` sodium ascorbate and sodium isoascorbate respectively. Specification 455,221 is referred to. The -Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the additional substances as stable non-hygroscopic substances, refers to silicic acid in its various forms, and mentions that malt-flour is less suitable than starch. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
