[Class 39 (iii)] In an electrically-heated bed-warmer the heating element is clamped between two sheets 8, or embedded in a single sheet of pressboard, presspahn, or vulcanized fibre, or the electrically insulating material having a fibrous base. The heating element consists of a resistance wire 2 woven with asbestos filaments 4 to form a mat of which the conductor forms the weft and the filaments the warp. The sheets 8 may be clamped together by rivets 7. A cable 6 supplies the electricity to the element.
