[Class 82 (i)] [Also in Group XIX] A fluid-pressure diaphragm device is constructed of a member having a positive temperature coefficient of elasticity combined with a member having a negative temperature coefficient whereby the effects of changes in elasticity of the members will be opposed so as to reduce the effect of temperature changes. Suitable alloys are : German Silver with a coefficient of -00034 to -À00038 and composition Copper 60À4 per cent to 64À8 per cent Nickel 9À8 " to 19À3" Iron 0 " to À05 " Zinc 16À2 " to 25À4 " Manganese 0 " to À03 " Phosphor bronze with a coefficient of - À00038 to -À00038 and composition Copper 94 À 6 per cent to 95À3 per cent Tin 4À3 " to 4À6 " Nickel 0 " to À01 " Phosphorus À29 " to À40 " Beryllium Copper with a coefficient of - À00035 and composition Copper 97À 7 per cent to 98À1 per cent Beryllium 2À3 " to 1À9 " Modulvar which is a particular form of the alloy known under the Registered Trade Mark " Invar " and has a coefficient of +À000482 and composition Nickel 34À9 per cent Iron 64À5 " Silicon À14 " Chromium À12 " Manganese À18 " - Carbon À16 "
