Abstract

500,764. Hand wheels. DOVER, Ltd., and DOVER, J. A. Jan. 19, 1938, No. 1811. Addition to 468,489. [Class 80 (iv)] In axially-adjustable steering-wheels having spokes pivoted to the boss as described in the parent Specification the adjustment is obtained by means of a sliding sleeve 17 which may be clamped in various positions on the boss. Projections 15 are formed on the spokes and enter holes 16 in the sleeve. The spokes are telescopic and the height of the rim may be adjusted by pushing or pulling it to the required position and then clamping the sleeve. Lugs 23 are provided for a clamping bolt.
