Abstract
500,328. Stoppers for bottles, tubes, &c. TORRINGA, H. F. April 25, 1938, No. 12395. [Class 125 (iii)] In a screw closure for bottles, tubes and like containers comprising a stopper 5 which can be folded laterally from the mouthpiece on a loop 4, Fig. 2, provision is made for fitting the loop on to the container mouthpiece or on to an annular nut 3 screwed thereon without springing it outwardly by providing slots 10 of appropriate dimensions opening into the recesses 9 which accommodate the loop pivots 8, Fig. 3. The application to a bottle stopper is shown in Figs. 4 and 6, the pivots S being secured in position by a slotted spring ring 12 resting on a collar 13. Specifications 5655/84 and 4595/85, [both in Class 125], are referred to.
