Abstract

497,834. Adhesive-strip &c. affixers. KELLER, A. J., and GERLACH. H. April 28, 1937, No. 12150. [Class 73] [Also in Group XVI] A hand apparatus for affixing stamps or strips comprises a casing from which the strips are fed by means of a finger-operated roller co-operating with a pair of pivotallymounted rollers past a moistening wick carried in a readily removable container. The fingeroperated roller L is mounted on springs P and co-operates with the rollers G<1>, G<2> carried by a pivoted frame G. The strip is moistened by a wick T carried in a container S having a vented screw cap S<2>. The container is readily removable for separate use and can rock about a pin F so that the strip is gripped between the point of the container and the edge M of the casing when the moistened end is to be severed.
