[Class 51 (i)] Means for reversing the flow of air and gases through regenerators 1, 2 consists of rotary tables 6, 7 driven simultaneously through gearing 8 .... 11 from a motor 12 and carrying pipe bends 14 ... 17 which cooperate with inlet and outlet pipes 3, 4 on the regenerators for the air and gases and with air inlet pipe 20 and inlet and outlet pipes 18, 19 for the gases. The pipe bends 14-17 are provided with rollers 21 so that they may be moved on rails 22 by hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders 23 to press the ends of the bends against the inlet and outlet pipes 3, 4 of the regenerators.
