The hollow members 10, 11 may be made of asbestos reinforced rubber and bolted at their ends to flanges 25 of a box, while their sides are clamped by plates 28 and bolts 29 to the side walls of the box. Air or other fluid may be supplied through ports 23 to inflate the members. Removable covers 31, 32 of nylon may be stretched between brackets 33. Two or more of such seals may be arranged in series.
