Regenerative ventilating systems; ventilators; forced ventitation; air, heating.-Relates to apparatus for transferring heat from one fluid to another in which the two fluids are passed alternately 'through the same passages in a movable mass of regenerative material. As applied for transferring heat from the outgoing foul air of a room to the incoming fresh air, the apparatus may consist of a rotating body 4, containing parallel plates, or loose material such as gravel, mounted to rotate in an aperture in the wall 50, foul air being forced through the conduits 3 by a fan 55, while fresh air is forced through the conduits 5 by the fan 56. The body 4 may, however, be stationary and the conduits 3 and 5 rotated.
