[Class 96] A cellular suction roll for paper-making machines, the breadth of the suction space of which may be adjusted, comprises a perforated external casing D projecting at one or both ends beyond the suction cells B which extend the entire breadth of the cellular part of the roll, and a suction head or heads E connected to the cells B at the end or ends by a duct or ducts F closed by one or two members G adjustable parallel to the axis along the internal surface of the projecting portion of the perforated casing.
