Abstract

233,493. Nuttall, T. D. March 26, 1924. Drying.-In drying paper, a. small number of drying cylinders A. B of larger size than normal are used, and heated or drying air is passed over t'he paper on the drying cylinders by means of hoods C, C' provided with a number of distributing passages d and with outlets E, E<1> for the moisten-laden air. Additional distributing passages d<1> may be provided beyond the outlet to prevent the escape of moisture-laden air to the space between the drying cylinders.
