Abstract
A condensed milk preparation is obtained by adding lactose in the form of a concentrated milk serum which has been concentrated at not above about 40 DEG C. to concentrated skimmed or unskimmed milk. The milk is preferably concentrated to about 30 per cent of its original volume and the serum to about one-eighteenth of its original weight. The two concentrations and the mixing are preferably all effected at about 40 DEG C. The product may be preserved in sealed tins.
