493,417. Motor - vehicle driving - gear. ZAVODY RINGHOFFER-TATRA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST. Jan. 17, 1938, No. 1550. Convention date, March 22, 1937. [Class 79 (ii)] Driving-gear for front and rear oscillatable half-axles 5, 5<1> comprises a two-part driving shaft 2, 3 passing through the drive to the halfaxles 5<1> and through a change-speed gearbox C situated between the axles, the driving shaft carrying a clutch 9 whereby the first part 2 drives the second part 3 through spur wheels 7<1>, 8<1>, 8, 7, for the top speed, the other speeds being obtained through sliding gears 11 and gears 10 in the gear-box. The shaft 3 drives the half-axles 5 through a differential gear 4, and the gear 7<1> drives the half-axles 5<1> through a hollow shaft 3<1> and a differential gear 4<1>. The shaft 2 is driven by the engine shaft 1.
