289,101. Stock Motorpflug Akt.-Ges. April 23, 1927, [Convention date]. Change-speed gearing; clutches, arrangements of; driving steering-wheels; transmission gear of invariable ratio.-In motor vehicle in which the engine and the change-speed gear are combined in a single casing 1, 3 and the main clutch 10, 11 is situated outside this casing, an engine-driven shaft 8 to which one member 10 of the clutch is fixed is slidably supported in a hollow gearshaft 9 carrying the other member 11 of the clutch. The clutch may be disengaged by means of a lever (not shown) pressing on the clutch member 10. The drive is transmitted through the countershaft 14 of the gear and bevel gearing 15 to the front or rear wheels of the vehicle. The clutch member 11 is formed as a belt pulley.
