Abstract
493,308. Ultra - violet filter for colour photography. I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES. April 8, 1937, No. 10019. Convention date, April 29, 1936. [Class 98 (ii)] Colour photographic material has on the surface which is hit first by the incident light, a filter layer which absorbs rays having a wavelength less than 400 mÁ and leaves the visible rays substantially unaffected. Aesculin, quinine, primulin, the urea of the sodium salt of paraminobenzoyl - paraphenylenediaminosulphonic acid, the sodium salt of di-metaaminobenzoyl-diaminostilbene disulphonic acid and Diazo light yellow are compounds to be used with gelatine solution or dry gelatine in forming the filter layer. Multi-layer, multipack, lenticular screen and multi-colour screen materials can all be adapted to include the filter layer in front of the first emulsion layer.
