Abstract

492,795. Photographic sensitive materials. KALLE & CO. AKT.-GES. Oct. 28, 1937, No. 29536. Convention date, Dec. 4, 1936. [Class 98 (ii)] Photographic printing material especially diazotype material is prepared by applying in addition to the sensitive material a substantially colourless substance absorbing ultra-violet light and which is stable to light, the application being non-uniform. The substance is preferably applied to the reverse side of the material to the sensitive layer, or to the interior thereof. For example, paper is sprayed non-uniformly with a solution of the sodium salt of methyl umbelliferone carboxylic acid and dried.
