563,804. Photographic diazotype processes. HALL, HARDING, Ltd., and LEUCH, W. P. May 6, 1943, No. 7189. [Class 98 (ii)] Diazotype printing material is produced by applying to a support of paper (including "natural" tracing paper and paper rendered transparent), cloth (e.g. tracing cloth), metal or plywood, a solution in an organic solvent of the light-sensitive diazo component, the coupling component, and a film-forming substance (e.g. a cellulose ester or ether or natural or synthetic resin, including an acetal), with or without a stabilizer for the diazo compound and a plasticizer for the film-forming substance. In example (1), tracing paper or cloth is coated with a composition comprising cellulose acetate, acetone, n-butyl tartrate, tartaric acid, the zinc chloride double salt of p-diethylaminobenzenediazonium chloride, and resorcinol, with or without industrial methylated spirit. The material may be developed with ammonia vapour. In example (2), the composition comprises cellulose acetate, acetone, #: #<1>- dichlorethylether (or n-butyl alcohol or cyclohexanone), tartaric acid, the zinc chloride double salt of p-diethylaminobenzenediazonium chloride, and resorcinol. The material may be used in the reflex-printing process. Specification 539,314 is referred to.
