Abstract

318,511. Film Ozaphane. Sept. 4, 1928, [Convention date]. Drawings to Specification. Films and papers; diazotype processes.-Sensitive material for the diazotype process is prepared by applying, as by a roller, to a paper support coated with a layer of gelatin or similar colloid, or to a film of cellulose, a light-sensitive mixture containing diazo compounds dissolved in a volatile liquid such as water mixed with alcohol or acetone adapted to evaporate quickly, i.e. before the lightsensitive mixture has had time to penetrate deeply into the gelatin or cellulose layer. Kaolin &c. may be incorporated into the gelatin layer if a matt surface is desired. In an example, the sensitizer comprises 1-diazo-2-oxynaphthalene-4- suiphonic chlorinated acid, resorcin, and nickel chloride dissolved in a liquid comprising 30 per cent water and 10 per cent methyl or ethyl alcohol.
