Abstract
492,473. Moving signs; aerating liquids. BERESFORD & SON, Ltd., J., and SMITH, S. A. June 28, 1937, No. 17918. [Class 3 (i)] [Also in Group VI] In signs comprising tubular letters &c. through which bubbles of air and water pass, means for producing the bubbles comprise a float c which supports by springs f and adjustment screws e a tubular piece h attached to or forming the end of a suction pipe b. On the piece h is mounted a gauze strainer i, or a perforated tube, which extends through a hole d in the float and is immersed to an adjustable extent in the water. The pipe b is either flexible or is freely swivelled, and a self-priming electrically-driven centrifugal pump is located either between the sign and the float c, or beyond the sign, the discharge in each case being returned to the tank a. Specification 331,904, [Class 110 (i)], is referred to.
