Abstract

492,340. Locking-nuts. AVIGDOR, R. March 16, 1937, No. 7744. Convention date, March 26, 1936. [Class 89 (i)] A pipe joint comprises a screw-threaded union 3, a nut 2 engaging a pipe 1 or a nipple projecting therefrom, and a leaf spring 4 one limb 5 of which is formed with retaining means, such as barbs 6, engaging part of the union and the other limb of which is shaped to engage the sides of the nut. The latter limb may comprise an aperture 8 notched at 9 to engage the flats of the nut, the plain part 8a of the aperture engaging a neck 2a on the nut ; this limb is cranked at 10. The spring is apertured at 11.
