Abstract

492,275. Valve generating circuits. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE. March 16, 1937, No. 7678. Convention date, March 28, 1936. [Class 40 (v)] Saw-tooth voltage is fed to the deflecting plates 8 of a cathode-ray tube from a transformer 6 in the output circuit of a pentode amplifier valve 7, the grid of which is fed with the voltage across the condenser 5. The condenser 3 of the primary relaxation oscillator 1, 2, 3, is discharged through one anode 11 of the double-anode gas-filled valve 9, and this anode is connected to the condenser 5 through a high resistance 4 forming a second relaxation oscillator, the condenser 5 being discharged through the second anode 12 of the valve 9. Both discharges occur simultaneously, and the voltage on the condenser 5 is the time integral of that on the condenser 3. The valve 7 is of high internal resistance compared with the impedance of the transformer, and the current through it is therefore a linear function of the grid voltage. The voltage on the plates 8 is the time differential of the valve current and is therefore of the same wave-form as the voltage on the condenser 3. Specification 483,667 is referred to.
