Abstract
490,865. Snapaction switches. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BENTLEY, H. L. April 1, 1937, No. 9249. [Class 38 (v)] A cord-operated ceiling switch has a snap-action mechanism of the type described in Specification 314,146, [Class 38 (v)], and has a U-shaped tumb - ler lever o to the base of which is pivoted at p a lever q. When a slide g is pulled down by a cord i a tooth k engages one end of lever q and operates the switch. When slide g returns due to spring h, a cam slope l turns lever q about its pivot p so that its other end lies in the path of the other tooth k so that a second pull on the cord operates the switch in the opposite direction.
