[Class 40 (v)] Detuning of a circuit as a result of alteration of the coupling by which it is connected to another circuit is automatically compensated by tuning-adjustment means mechanically coupled with the coupling-adjustment means. One coil of the mutual-inductance coupling may be divided into two parts which form a variometer whose self-inductance is varied simultaneously with the strength of the coupling; or one of the parts may be wound on to the other coil of the coupling while the other of the parts is relatively movable, or the setting of the tuning-condenser may be automatically varied when the coupling is adjusted.
