Abstract
489,116. Blinds for dark rooms. LISLE, U. L. O. Feb. 2, 1937, No. 3038. [Class 20 (iii)] A light-excluding blind for a dark room or the like is guided at the sides by grooves having narrow openings d<1> and has attached at its edges spaced resilient members c<2> such as rubber tubing which prevent the blind leaving the guides. The tubular members c<2> are arranged parallel to the roller axis and collapse when wound on the roller. The bottom rail is tubular and has in each end a steel blade g held between two metal cheeks g<2>. The blind fabric is secured to the blade g by outer blades h which bear on the sides of the openings d<1>. When closed the bottom rail and an apron c<4> thereon rest in a recessed bottom frame member el. An operating cord may be attached by a head inside the bottom rail or by a clip j<1> and passes over a pulley f to a cleat or the like.
